Chris has been working in the mortgage industry since 1985. He started as a mortgage loan processor. Now, you may find him working with Stonegate Mortgage Corporation at Indianapolis.
“Owning a home is really a great way for entrepreneurs to create personal wealth.” – Chris Shrader
He is an independent mortgage banker and deals with banks and credit unions. As one of the backbones of the US economy, homeownership offers a number of opportunities for entrepreneurs.
What to Do When Buying a House
Chris wrote an article on LinkedIn titled “I Wanna Buy a House; Now What”. He was with Indiana Mortgage Bankers that time. He shares the essence of paying a mortgage.

With years of experience, he encourages people to buy what they are comfortable with. Consider your monthly leftover after all the expenses.
A Privilege to Take Care Of
According to Chris, you have to be cautious with your investments. Tax is also something to consider when working from home as an entrepreneur.
“Owning a home is not a right; it’s a privilege.” – Chris Shrader
He suggests two things regarding this privilege. First, decide whether you like it or not. Second, think about whether you can stay in it for a long time or if you can maintain it.
