65 Daniel J. Lewis – The Audacity to Podcast
Daniel J. Lewis has an award winning podcast called the Audacity to Podcast. He is a celebrity of sorts in the podcasting world. Chances are, pretty much anything you would ever want to know about podcasting, Daniel knows. When I asked Daniel what he thought about his celebrity status, he said that he notices this from some people and he feels a little awkward.

He goes on to say that the thing to remember is that this does happen for a lot of people and it’s just the initial thing. Once the introduction happens and a relationship develops, people realize that Daniel is a normal person.
My biggest passion in helping podcaster’s is helping them improve – Daniel J. Lewis
Daniel teaches people how to podcast and how to improve their podcast. His entire business is making solutions for podcasters. He does this through various platforms such as the Audacity to Podcast,My Podcast Reviews, SEO for Podcaster’s, and Podcaster’s Society. It’s a lot of “podcasting”.
He hosts several podcast himself including the Audacity to Podcast about how to podcast, the Ramen Noodle which is a clean comedy podcast, and a Once Upon a Time TV Show Fan podcast along with a network of podcasts at Noodle.mx. Daniel comes from a design and public speaking background. He brings this professional experience and perspective into presenting the information, teaching, and providing these solutions.
What is a Podcast According to Daniel J. Lewis?
It’s really on, not only the podcaster’s to explain to the world what a podcast is, but also the podcast listeners to explain podcasting to someone else as well. A podcast is like a radio or TV show. It’s on the internet. You can get it in audio or video. You can find a show on the internet about almost any topic presented by both amateurs and professionals all passionate about their information. You can download it from the internet and listen to the show of your choice nearly anywhere/anytime.
Very few people get into making business cards as their business, but business cards are very important to business people to make money and build relationships. A podcast is kind of like that. It’s not the money maker by itself for most people, although there are people making money directly from their show.
The main way most people make money from their podcast is indirectly. Their podcast becomes their marketing arm. The relationships that are built because of their podcast enables them to connect with an audience wherein they can promote their business.
Daniel got involved in podcasting because he had something to say in the space. Even though the podcast about podcasting was saturated with 2 other shows (sarcasm), now he thinks there are about 30, but he wasn’t trying to turn this into a business. It was something Daniel was passionate about.
Daniel was thinking about launching a business as a freelance web designer. In order to do this, he had to find a way to move from his full time job and podcasting gave him the missing piece, or the marketing arm, for his business. While he no longer does web design, podcasting afforded him a connection with an audience he would have otherwise never had the opportunity to meet.

About Jaime Jay
Meet Jaime Jay – a man who wears many hats, and wears them all admirably. He's a master connector, an entrepreneur extraordinaire, and a published author who knows how to get things done.
Before he found his way to the business world, Jaime served his country as a brave paratrooper in the U.S. Army. But that's just the beginning of his many accomplishments.
He's the founder of the renowned Bottleneck Distant Assistant Services firm, and his book "Quit Repeating Yourself" has become a must-read for entrepreneurs everywhere.
When he's not busy building his empire, you can find him on his beloved Harley Davidson, cruising through the countryside and taking in the invigorating effects of Uitwaaien – a Dutch practice that involves facing the wind to boost health and relieve stress.
He enjoys spending his free time outside building stuff with his wife, Nikita the dog and their two kittens (for now at least) Tommy and Tater.
He is ‘over-the-moon’ happily married to his wonderful wife Sara, his amazing daughter, Jessica, who is serving our country as a United States Army soldier. Jaime and Sara are the proud grand parents of two beautiful little girls.
