“Everybody says they wish that they had taken the leap sooner, and they regret that they waited so long to do it.” – Jennifer Gardner on becoming an entrepreneur
A Passionate Individual and Lawyer
Jennifer has been working as a self-employed lawyer for 25 years. She is passionate about what she does and loves working with her clients.
“You learn more from the failures than you do from the successes.” – Jennifer Gardner
She is always curious about the world and people around her. Also, she enjoys trying different things and learning from them.
From Full Time to Self-employed
Jennifer used to work as a full-time trial lawyer. But, one day she decided to go on her own. All she needed were a computer, a printer, a telephone, and an office space.
“Suit up and show up every day.” – Jennifer Gardner
She positioned herself among successful individuals and showed up to work every day. There were challenges especially when she was just starting out. But, she persevered and still thrives in her chosen career path.
Keeping the Excitement at Work
Jennifer admits that there were times that she got burned out from work. As a result, she had to take less work. But, she always became excited to do other things.
“The excitement around starting a practice and building that business was about as exciting to me as getting the clients and working with them successfully.” – Jennifer Gardner
When she was burned out with legal practice, she was able to create an artistic and entrepreneurial space. She would return refreshed and informed as a lawyer.
