Seasoned Success Individuals

Robert Mallon Bill Watkins Proven Leadership and Business TrainingBill and Robert have been great friends since 1990s. Bill was a West Point graduate, who grew up in upstate New York. He was a world-class athlete and served as a corporate executive for several years until he founded his own business in 1992. At the age of 57, he won the Men’s National Championship in Bicycling.

Robert is a nationally recognized professional speaker. He’s been a business coach for almost 15 years now. He used to work as a restaurant executive for 27 years until he felt compelled to change his life in 2002. Since then, he’s done over 2,000 full day seminars and keynote speeches. Apart from that, he’s also coached leaders and companies. His experiences helped him develop amazing processes that accelerate the growth and success of leaders and companies.

The Rusty Lion

Bill and Robert founded the Rusty Lion Academy in 2013. The name Rusty Lion was inspired from Bill’s blog post which bore the same title. When you walk up close to a lion, you’d find a lot of scars on that king of the jungle.

There is no doubt in our minds that when we talk about leaders that they will fail.” –Bill Watkins

Robert shares that the best wisdom, the best life lessons, and the best life successes come from those scars. Bill thought that it was very fitting for the goal he set back then. From this concept, they came up with the Academy to help make a difference in the lives of others.

Dealing with Failure

Robert Mallon Bill Watkins Proven Leadership and Business TrainingBill and Robert believe that the best lessons in life and business are achieved through failure. It isn’t that they want leaders to fail catastrophically. They simply accept it as an option.

Every man [lion] has scars, which make us wiser and better.” –Bill Watkins

Bill shares a recent experience he had with some clients, who were very uncomfortable with the possibility of failure in their business venture. They found it difficult to accept. For this, Bill offers some valuable insights on failure.
