100 Stephen Christopher Overcoming Business Challenges

Stephen Christopher

Jaime Jay welcomes Stephen Christopher to today’s podcast. Stephen is a technology marketing expert, who founded Seequs Digital Marketing. Before starting Seequs, he started other award-winning businesses. He’s learned a lot of lessons from his many years of experience, and seeks to help businesses thrive. Tune in to learn how you can overcome challenges in business!

Off a Good Start

stephen-christopherStephen currently focuses on working at Seequs, his own digital marketing company. Second to that, he has his hands focused on his newly established podcast, Biz Revolution. In both companies, Stephen just intends to build a community of people that he can help using his experiences, or those under his circle of influence that might have some good insights for entrepreneurs and business owners.

He started doing business when he was 14 years old. That time, he started a mobile car detailing company. The funny thing was he didn’t know how to drive, so he let people drive their cars to him when they wanted his services. Stephen learned good sales through that experience.

From Employee to Employer

Stephen Christopher Overcoming Business ChallengesStephen never really knew he was an entrepreneur. His parents encouraged him to go to college and get the good things in life afterwards. He worked while he was in college, however, he eventually realized that he didn’t like working for people.

In every job that he had, he made sure that he did the best thing possible while doing it. He took every minute he had and used it correctly. He would do anything to occupy his time, and kept track of what he would do next.

One day you’re going to be the business owner, and somebody’s gonna do the exact same thing to you.” –Stephen Christopher

Stephen shares the fact that at some point in time, somebody will leave to start a new business. He believed in karma, a principle stating that your actions can influence your future. If he did not treat someone well, he believed that the same person will not treat him well also in the future.

Learning from Failure

Before starting Seequs, Stephen started a mortgage company which primarily focused on investors. However, their funding eventually started to deplete. Since most of their client owned 4 to 15 companies, loans just became unavailable overnight.

You can fail completely in a lot of different ways, but you never actually fail as long as you learn something from that experience.” –Stephen Christopher

About 72 hours after seeing one of their clients’ company close, they stopped doing business. He was left with a lot of debt. This gave him a lot of lessons. Stephen shares that being at the absolute bottom isn’t as bad as we think it is.

About Jaime Jay

Meet Jaime Jay – a man who wears many hats, and wears them all admirably. He's a master connector, an entrepreneur extraordinaire, and a published author who knows how to get things done.

Before he found his way to the business world, Jaime served his country as a brave paratrooper in the U.S. Army. But that's just the beginning of his many accomplishments.

He's the founder of the renowned Bottleneck Distant Assistant Services firm, and his book "Quit Repeating Yourself" has become a must-read for entrepreneurs everywhere.

When he's not busy building his empire, you can find him on his beloved Harley Davidson, cruising through the countryside and taking in the invigorating effects of Uitwaaien – a Dutch practice that involves facing the wind to boost health and relieve stress.

He enjoys spending his free time outside building stuff with his wife, Nikita the dog and their two kittens (for now at least) Tommy and Tater.

He is ‘over-the-moon’ happily married to his wonderful wife Sara, his amazing daughter, Jessica, who is serving our country as a United States Army soldier. Jaime and Sara are the proud grand parents of two beautiful little girls.

What an awesome business! Finally, a way to hire the RIGHT person for my administrative tasks and they are remote! No office space to consider, W2's, 1099's or payroll. Jaime and his team of remote workers are top-notch! I hired my first assistant in May. I recently suffered a motorcycle accident and it left me unable to work for 2 weeks. But my assistant stepped right in to guide our CEO on all matters financial. It’s so nice to have that stress eliminated from my life!
