Are You Recession Ready? with Jaime and Sara | Live with Bottleneck: A Week In Review

On this episode of Live with Bottleneck: A Week In Review, Jaime and Sara talk about whether we are recession-ready or not. The economy is getting pretty bad all around the world, and let’s face it, our jobs are in danger if a recession comes. Businesses are also in danger of closing.

Join Jaime and Sara live every Friday at 10am CT for this special edition of Live with Bottleneck: A Week In Review. They talk about the week that has passed, challenges they encountered, and things that they’d do in the future for the company and their viewers.

Are You Recession Ready?

Nobody is recession-proof, even the richest among us are bound to be affected by it. The question Jaime and Sara poses is whether you are prepared for it.

A recession is a steady decline in the economy, and Jaime believes that America is on the tip of it because of the steadily rising inflation. Gas and food prices are very high right now, and a lot of people cannot afford it anymore.

What Jaime iterates is that being able to not afford things isn’t even the scary part. Businesses that do not prepare for a recession, or even just how they are able to navigate it will succumb to the recession and close down.

What Happened This Week

Jaime turned into a fair but firm leader, and during a board of advisors meeting, they received feedback about it. Sara and their advisors pushed Jaime to do things outside of his comfort zone, and he was able to do it.

He is also admitting that he needs help, and that he needs more clients. Not only that, he wants Bottleneck to be in a position to support and guide clients. Jaime is pushing the idea of being able to delegate tasks that drain company leaders of their energy.

“Doing everything yourself will drain you, and for those who think this way, think about adjusting your mindset,” Jaime says.

What’s Coming Up

Payday is coming up on Monday, and we’re already halfway through July and halfway through the year. There aren’t any meetings coming up for Sara, but Jaime has a ton of it.

Sara is researching different platforms for affiliate marketing, and is reaching out to their viewers for help. The couple is looking into good affiliate marketing software to automate the entire process of tracking their affiliates.

Gordon, the vice president, will be interviewing Jaime. He will be asking the questions, turning the tables, so to speak. That episode will air on Tuesday.

About Jaime Jay

Meet Jaime Jay – a man who wears many hats, and wears them all admirably. He's a master connector, an entrepreneur extraordinaire, and a published author who knows how to get things done.

Before he found his way to the business world, Jaime served his country as a brave paratrooper in the U.S. Army. But that's just the beginning of his many accomplishments.

He's the founder of the renowned Bottleneck Distant Assistant Services firm, and his book "Quit Repeating Yourself" has become a must-read for entrepreneurs everywhere.

When he's not busy building his empire, you can find him on his beloved Harley Davidson, cruising through the countryside and taking in the invigorating effects of Uitwaaien – a Dutch practice that involves facing the wind to boost health and relieve stress.

He enjoys spending his free time outside building stuff with his wife, Nikita the dog and their two kittens (for now at least) Tommy and Tater.

He is ‘over-the-moon’ happily married to his wonderful wife Sara, his amazing daughter, Jessica, who is serving our country as a United States Army soldier. Jaime and Sara are the proud grand parents of two beautiful little girls.
