Emotional Intelligence: Its Role In Life and Business with Adam Rosensweig | Live with Bottleneck

On this special episode of Live With Bottleneck, we will be talking to Adam Rosensweig about emotional intelligence and its role in life and business. We consider a lot of things in life and at work, such as revenue/income, losses, assets and liabilities, but rarely do we ever consider our emotional intelligence and how it factors into the successes that we have as a company.

Adam Rosensweig is the Chief Operating Officer of RR&D. He is certified in, and responsible for administering and interpreting the EQ-i 2.- and EQ 360. Adam believes wholeheartedly in the Inglish Motivational Enhancement Method. It was the reason why he started RR&D. He works with Dr. Inglish closely, and they are real-life friends aside from being co-workers.

Who is Adam Rosensweig?

Aside from being the COO of RR&D, Adam engages in other activities related to emotional intelligence. He does executive coaching, communication training, and leadership development. He also does crisis management, organizing team building, and behavior change. On his off times, he plays strategy games to sharpen his mind.

Adam grew up in South Florida, around the Fort Lauderdale area. He moved to Central Florida and Ocala when he was 15. He was introduced to the Motivational Enhancement Method when he was going through a personal crisis. Dr. Inglish was living in Augustine, Florida, at the time, and Adam went through the program together with his wife.

He’s been working with Dr. Inglish closely since then, and Adam has gotten his certificate and created RR&D as well.

Emotional Intelligence and its Relation to Business

Emotional intelligence is a set of emotional and social skills that influence the way we express ourselves. It’s also what we use to develop and maintain social relationships and deal with challenges. Adam Rosensweig found a way to channel our emotional intelligence and use it as a guiding factor to do better in life and in business.

Understandably, we are humans with different emotions at a given time in any day of our lives. The difference lies in how we process our emotional data and harness it to create change in our interpersonal relationships at work and outside of it.

“EQ and IQ go together. We do not get to use our IQ if we do not use our EQ properly.” Even if you are the most intelligent person on the planet, if you are not empathic towards certain situations, then your success rate will be little to none.” – Adam Rosensweig

Tips to Improve your Emotional Intelligence

The best way to approach our emotional intelligence is to be self-aware. It’s hardly unlikely that we do not notice our emotions on a daily basis. The trick is to bring them to a level that we’re conscious about, so we know how to rein them in in certain situations.

This skill comes in handy when we are dealing with different kinds of people. A person who can manage their EQ is often successful in making deals and carrying on conversations, which is something that we’d like to do on a daily basis.

About Jaime Jay

Meet Jaime Jay – a man who wears many hats, and wears them all admirably. He’s a master connector, an entrepreneur extraordinaire, and a published author who knows how to get things done.

Before he found his way to the business world, Jaime served his country as a brave paratrooper in the U.S. Army. But that’s just the beginning of his many accomplishments.

He’s the founder of the renowned Bottleneck Distant Assistant Services firm, and his book “Quit Repeating Yourself” has become a must-read for entrepreneurs everywhere.

When he’s not busy building his empire, you can find him on his beloved Harley Davidson, cruising through the countryside and taking in the invigorating effects of Uitwaaien – a Dutch practice that involves facing the wind to boost health and relieve stress. He enjoys spending his free time outside building stuff with his wife, Nikita the dog and their two kittens (for now at least) Tommy and Tater. He is ‘over-the-moon’ happily married to his wonderful wife Sara, his amazing daughter, Jessica, who is serving our country as a United States Army soldier. Jaime and Sara are the proud grand parents of two beautiful little girls.
