EPIC Choices, EPIC Life: How to Plan, Achieve, and Enjoy the Journey with Zander Sprague | Live with Bottleneck

On today’s Live with Bottleneck, our guest Zander Sprague shares how you can make epic choices that create an epic life for you and the people around you. All you need is to know how to plan, achieve, and enjoy the journey along the way.

Zander Sprague is an internationally-acclaimed public speaker, author, and a Licensed Professional Clinical Counselor. He has written 3 books about how you can achieve EPIC results in your life, even through difficulties that one might experience.

So if you want to learn how to live an EPIC life today, stay tuned to this episode.

Who is Zander Sprague?

Everyone has epic things they want to do in their life. For Zander Sprague, he wanted to be a Licensed Professional Clinical Counselor. So he worked on that goal by getting his master’s in mental health and had to finish a whopping 3000 hours of internship.

After finally finishing his internship in February of 2020, he was all set to take his licensing exam. He was ready to go out and speak to the crowd on his thoughts and experiences. But then, the pandemic hit.

As we were all stuck indoors waiting for the pandemic to be over, Zander got an epiphany, and he decided to act on it.

“I had this epiphany that EPIC begins with one step forward. And as I looked into my own life, I said that is so true. I am so lucky to do so many epic things and each of those started with one step forward. And I am just so excited to help other people and businesses realize that they can have their Epic. They just need a plan to achieve it.”  – Zander Sprague

How to Take the First Step

When asked on how one can take that first step, Zander says that we can only do one thing at a time. So in order to go for that first step, we need to realize and focus on one thing at a time.

“The fact of the matter is, we can only really do one thing well at a time. I also really think that where we have structure, there’s comfort, in that we understand what we need to do.“ – Zander Sprague

Losing a Sibling

Zander talks about losing a sibling, how it has affected him, and how he still managed to live an epic life despite all that. Zander’s sister passed away 25 years ago, and it was something that devastated Zander and his family.

“It was devastating and not something that I expected to ever go through. However, I chose my own positive pathway through that in the last quarter century. And not only myself, but my family has done lots of things to celebrate Lucy’s – the rainbow that was her life, and do great things in her name.” – Zander Sprague

Zander shares that it was very gratifying to do things in her memory. He explains that he has written his books to help other sibling survivors, not only to cope with one’s loss, but to celebrate their sibling’s life and live their own life to the best they could.

Before he found his way to the business world, Jaime served his country as a brave paratrooper in the U.S. Army. But that’s just the beginning of his many accomplishments.

He’s the founder of the renowned Bottleneck Distant Assistant Services firm, and his book “Quit Repeating Yourself” has become a must-read for entrepreneurs everywhere.

When he’s not busy building his empire, you can find him on his beloved Harley Davidson, cruising through the countryside and taking in the invigorating effects of Uitwaaien – a Dutch practice that involves facing the wind to boost health and relieve stress. He enjoys spending his free time outside building stuff with his wife, Nikita the dog and their two kittens (for now at least) Tommy and Tater. He is ‘over-the-moon’ happily married to his wonderful wife Sara, his amazing daughter, Jessica, who is serving our country as a United States Army soldier.
