Who is Vikrant Shaurya?

Vikrant Shaurya on How Books become Bestsellers
Vikrant points out that even if your sales consist of digital books and downloads, it can still be considered a bestseller. Nowadays, being a bestseller is not confined to selling physical copies of books.
That said, Vikrant does admit that there are different criteria to being a bestseller, depending on the platform you use to market or sell your books.
For example, in Amazon books, you need to figure out what category your book falls under. Then, you need to outrank the top seller of that category. So if that top book is selling 500 copies a day, you need to sell 501+. That already qualifies you as a bestseller in Amazon.
Other platforms like Wall Street Journal and USA Today focus more on hitting a certain quota per week to be considered a bestseller. So your strategy will revolve around which platform you want to go for.
