On this episode of Live with Bottleneck, our guest Rom LaPointe talks about leadership consulting and your bottom line. He also talks about failure being okay, but if you fail without learning from it, then you have failed for nothing.

Rom LaPointe is a business coach and advisor to the stars of business. He works with CEOs, leadership teams and boards, and just about anyone in the leadership position. He is also an entrepreneur, having previously served as CEO for ten private companies.

If you’re interested to know more about leadership consulting and what your bottom line is, stay tuned to this episode.

Who is Rom LaPointe?

Rom LaPointe has developed a proven process of strategic thinking, execution planning, and leadership development. This process has helped leaders turn their vision into results, and so far has been successful in their endeavors.

For the past 15 years before his career now, Rom worked as a CEO for ten companies, six of which he founded, and four that were acquired. He then experienced six exits that were positive, and three that ended in failure.

Rom took each exit as a learning experience, despite some being more painful than others. Now, he has taken this experience and turned it into a model that other business leaders can follow on the road to success.

He is now the founder and CEO of Capricorn Leadership, where he helps other businesses and companies expand their leadership capacity.

What To Learn From Leadership Consulting

Leaders want to move in a certain direction. They have a particular objective, a vision, and if everyone on the team is not on board, the direction is bound to end in a dead end.

Creating a team that is on board with everything the company stands for is the first step to being a great leader. If everyone is doing their best and performing at their highest, the company is bound for success.

But, driving a team to greatness does not necessarily mean burning them out. It means maximizing potential, and unlocking talents, and allowing people to lean into their strengths. If a team member is recognized for their greatness, they are driven to strive for the best at what they do.

Creating processes and systems that work is also part of being a great leader. Making a strategy is one of a team’s tasks, and if it fails, the team should be accountable for it.

What is the bottom line?

“It’s not just the leader’s responsibility that is the bottom line, it’s the results. People growing and developing a sustainable culture is part of it.” – Rom LaPointe

The bottom line is that a leader cannot be a successful one without a powerful team backing them up. If the team is composed of people who do not work together or are not in line with the company’s mission and vision, the leader will not be an effective one.

About Jaime Jay

Meet Jaime Jay – a man who wears many hats, and wears them all admirably. He’s a master connector, an entrepreneur extraordinaire, and a published author who knows how to get things done.

Before he found his way to the business world, Jaime served his country as a brave paratrooper in the U.S. Army. But that’s just the beginning of his many accomplishments.

He’s the founder of the renowned Bottleneck Distant Assistant Services firm, and his book “Quit Repeating Yourself” has become a must-read for entrepreneurs everywhere.

When he’s not busy building his empire, you can find him on his beloved Harley Davidson, cruising through the countryside and taking in the invigorating effects of Uitwaaien – a Dutch practice that involves facing the wind to boost health and relieve stress. He enjoys spending his free time outside building stuff with his wife, Nikita the dog and their two kittens (for now at least) Tommy and Tater. He is ‘over-the-moon’ happily married to his wonderful wife Sara, his amazing daughter, Jessica, who is serving our country as a United States Army soldier. Jaime and Sara are the proud grand parents of two beautiful little girls.
