On The Road Again with Jaime and Sara | Live with Bottleneck: A Week In Review

On this episode of Live with Bottleneck: A Week In Review, Jaime and Sara talk about being on the road again. It doesn’t mean that they are travelling again, it just means that they are going down a new path.

Join Jaime and Sara live every Friday at 10am CT for this special edition of Live with Bottleneck: A Week In Review. They talk about the week that has passed, challenges they encountered, and things that they’d do in the future for the company and their viewers.

On The Road Again

Systems and processes are constantly changing, which means that businesses have to adapt. Jaime was inspired by Willie Nelson singing On The Road Again, and to him it means that you may have been down that road before, but now, the experience is different.

That is what’s happening with Bottleneck now. Jaime and Sara has been sourcing VAs now for 16 years, but now that there are systems and processes in place for workflows, the real work begins.

Because we are facing an imminent recession, Jaime and Sara has to figure out how to deal with it, and how they could get back on the road again, making the necessary adjustments to support clients and people. They are preparing for going through a tight financial situation so that their people wouldn’t have to feel the recession too much.

It’s important for Bottleneck and other businesses to stay overhead of what’s happening and increasing or even just maintaining productivity through hard times.

What Happened This Week

Jaime has been working like a pirate captain, which means that the advisory board has challenged him to think a little more creatively and get out of the corporate mentality. He was a little hurt by it but he’s been thinking outside the box and opening himself up to possibilities.

There were two things that the board of advisors suggested Jaime do: First, he needs to be firm but fair to his people so that things that need to be done get done. Then, he has to ask for help. Jaime may not like being vulnerable, but he has to be.

It doesn’t necessarily mean that he will appear weak, but it’s important to acknowledge that he needs help finding clients.

What’s Coming Up

Next week will be execution week, and it means that  Jaime, Sara, and the team will be wrapping up the plan for the new website. They encourage everyone to check out the Bottleneck website on July 15.

There are a couple of meetings happening with people, and there is the migration as well. Sara and Chanel are looking into an alternative to Stripe and Quickbooks.

There are lots of things happening to Jaime and Sara’s personal lives, and they’re excited about it, as well as a lot of things and changes happening to Bottleneck.

To hear more about being on the road again, and how we can prepare for a recession, continue listening to this episode.

About Jaime Jay

Meet Jaime Jay – a man who wears many hats, and wears them all admirably. He’s a master connector, an entrepreneur extraordinaire, and a published author who knows how to get things done.

Before he found his way to the business world, Jaime served his country as a brave paratrooper in the U.S. Army. But that’s just the beginning of his many accomplishments.

He’s the founder of the renowned Bottleneck Distant Assistant Services firm, and his book “Quit Repeating Yourself” has become a must-read for entrepreneurs everywhere.

When he’s not busy building his empire, you can find him on his beloved Harley Davidson, cruising through the countryside and taking in the invigorating effects of Uitwaaien – a Dutch practice that involves facing the wind to boost health and relieve stress. He enjoys spending his free time outside building stuff with his wife, Nikita the dog and their two kittens (for now at least) Tommy and Tater. He is ‘over-the-moon’ happily married to his wonderful wife Sara, his amazing daughter, Jessica, who is serving our country as a United States Army soldier. Jaime and Sara are the proud grand parents of two beautiful little girls.
