On this episode of Live With Bottleneck: A Week In Review, Jaime and Sara talk about paying attention to what you pay attention to. Paying attention means being in the moment, when things are happening.

On this episode of Live with Bottleneck: A Week In Review, Jaime and Sara talk about how hyper-focusing on certain parts of the business can be detrimental in the long run.

Join Jaime and Sara live every Friday at 10am CT for this special edition of Live with Bottleneck: A Week In Review. They talk about the week that passed and the challenges that they’ve faced, as well as implementation of things for the future of the company and for the viewers.

Paying Attention To What You’re Paying Attention To

Jaime uses being in meetings as an example of being in the moment. Most people do something else in meetings, like typing, being on their phone, or doing something else.

Sara admits that she has a hard time during meetings, because her mind wanders easily. She says that she has shiny object syndrome, like a squirrel.

Paying attention means staying in the moment of what’s currently happening without distractions. No phones, no typing on computers, no fiddling with pens and such, just listening to who’s talking at the moment. That is what paying attention to what you’re paying attention to means.

What Happened This Week

A lot happened this week, as they found out that their hosting provider was acquired by a company called Host Papa. Jaime says that they were spoiled by Osiris for nine years, and they didn’t have to call, wait on hold, and such.

Jaime and Sara had to go with a new company just as they were ready to launch the new website. This was because their emails stopped working because the company that acquired their hosting provider switched servers, but they did not update the email name servers.

Lawrence was trained by Jaime and now he is selling, and he has taken charge of a lot of things. Sara is no longer drowning in accounting and bookkeeping.

Jaime has also put together all the bullet points and the notes that he needs to jumpstart Q3, and has turned it over to his assistant Ella for the company meeting.

What’s Coming Up

While Sara will be overseeing the excavation on their land, Jaime will be in the office working. He will be meeting with all the different departments plus some individuals, planning for Q3.

Jaime will be going to Fort Worth for a speech in September, but the week to come will be focused on transitioning from Q2 to Q3.

Jaime will be focusing on each department and how they will be working seamlessly with each other during the transition to the new quarter. It’s important to be able to hold all objectives during the transition. It should go smoothly and without a hitch so that the 3rd quarter will start fresh, without any glitches.

About Jaime Jay

Meet Jaime Jay – a man who wears many hats, and wears them all admirably. He's a master connector, an entrepreneur extraordinaire, and a published author who knows how to get things done.

Before he found his way to the business world, Jaime served his country as a brave paratrooper in the U.S. Army. But that's just the beginning of his many accomplishments.

He's the founder of the renowned Bottleneck Distant Assistant Services firm, and his book "Quit Repeating Yourself" has become a must-read for entrepreneurs everywhere.

When he's not busy building his empire, you can find him on his beloved Harley Davidson, cruising through the countryside and taking in the invigorating effects of Uitwaaien – a Dutch practice that involves facing the wind to boost health and relieve stress.

He enjoys spending his free time outside building stuff with his wife, Nikita the dog and their two kittens (for now at least) Tommy and Tater.

He is ‘over-the-moon’ happily married to his wonderful wife Sara, his amazing daughter, Jessica, who is serving our country as a United States Army soldier. Jaime and Sara are the proud grand parents of two beautiful little girls.
