People Power with Jaime and Sara | Live with Bottleneck: A Week in Review

On this episode of Live with Bottleneck: A Week In Review, Jaime and Sara talk about the power of putting together a like-minded team. We will talk about the difficulties of getting everyone on the same page, and how to head in the same direction and reach the same goals.

Join Jaime and Sara live every Friday at 10am CT for this special edition of Live with Bottleneck: A Week In Review, as they talk about the previous week and the challenges the team has faced, as well as the things they will be implementing in the future to inspire people to better their future.

People Power

Sara talks about empowering the team to make creative decisions, so that they won’t have to be mindless drones at their job. She also explains that a few wrong decisions here and there would not sink the company into debt, as long as leaders and team members are open to finding a solution to the decision made.

“We want everyone to feel empowered that they can make a decision. If we feel that it’s a wrong decision, we can talk about it and find out why it’s a wrong decision.”

Jaime and Sara love the idea of empowering the people, because it gives the company a sense of direction, like where to go in terms of decision-making as a whole, what to do when it comes to navigating wrong decisions, and how to make everyone feel like they are an integral part of the team, which they are.

What Happened This Week?

Sara is trying to get a legal entity in the Philippines, and she has enlisted the help of Chanelle, the new payroll and accounting specialist, in finding one.

Jaime was not able to attend the department meetings, and at first it worried him, but not attending gave him the opportunity to create some avatars and Word of the Year. He was also able to think about gently stepping on the brakes, which would allow him and the team to re-evaluate their goals. Jaime was also able to delegate a few tasks to his DDAs, which is the primary goal of Bottleneck Distant Assistants.

The security program is getting amped as well, and there are two new team members taking care of that. It might be a little expensive, but it’s for the greater good of all, including the company’s clients.

What’s Coming Up?

Sara is putting together papers required by the Secretary of State in Missouri for the business entity in the Philippines.

Jaime and Sara are also one step closer to having an automated sales process, and they will be bringing in a high-level front-end developer and a high-level back-end developer to help them set up clients with distant assistants. They are also gearing up for the Bottleneck Academy launch, which will give them a pool of talents who are ready to take on clients. A few people will be joining the team as well, such as the trainer for the academy and a project manager, and Jaime calls it the team that they are going into the play-offs with.

About Jaime Jay

Meet Jaime Jay – a man who wears many hats, and wears them all admirably. He’s a master connector, an entrepreneur extraordinaire, and a published author who knows how to get things done.

Before he found his way to the business world, Jaime served his country as a brave paratrooper in the U.S. Army. But that’s just the beginning of his many accomplishments.

He’s the founder of the renowned Bottleneck Distant Assistant Services firm, and his book “Quit Repeating Yourself” has become a must-read for entrepreneurs everywhere.

When he’s not busy building his empire, you can find him on his beloved Harley Davidson, cruising through the countryside and taking in the invigorating effects of Uitwaaien – a Dutch practice that involves facing the wind to boost health and relieve stress. He enjoys spending his free time outside building stuff with his wife, Nikita the dog and their two kittens (for now at least) Tommy and Tater. He is ‘over-the-moon’ happily married to his wonderful wife Sara, his amazing daughter, Jessica, who is serving our country as a United States Army soldier. Jaime and Sara are the proud grand parents of two beautiful little girls.
