Who is Dirk Van Reenen?
Dirk is an entrepreneur, international consultant, trainer, and former CEO of an organization that earns $800 million a year. He also has won several awards in line with his field.
Today, Dirk works with ordinary companies, helping them become extraordinary by teaching them how to work together as a team. He also helps them earn the right people, and teach them how to keep these people.
Dirk says that he has learnt not to be the smartest person in the room. But, as long as he understands how to get everyone to perform their best, a company will continue growing in the right direction: upward and onward.
At BERGflow, Dirk believes in faster growth, higher profitability, and more time and freedom. This makes for a successful business with happy teams that work together to reach goals.
How To Build “Pivot Ready” Teams
Dirk has implemented proven systems and models for building better teams. He also created a diverse and detailed internal structuring for scalability and profitability, as well as lead levers in the business to achieve rapid growth.
He read an article about the rate of change in the world and how it was getting exponentially faster than the ability of humans to adapt to this change. Dirk understood that it would have to be true for business, because it is just people coming together.
“I knew that we’d have to teach companies how to build teams that are pivot ready. It means that they’d have to be ready to take on challenges and change.” – Dirk van Reenen
These teams would have to alter the way they functioned as a group, because if they don’t, they will fall behind. Dirk’s personal experience with building teams has been difficult, and so he put together what he learned, and he applied it.
Dirk van Reenen on Adapting To Change
One of Dirk’s points of success is creating acronyms. He says that it’s part of creating your own language and culture within the company. When someone new comes in, like a team member or a new client, the team makes it a point to integrate them, which is the first thing to adapting.
Another way is to create alignment with the values, vision, and mission of the organization. The right person will be able to execute their job perfectly in line with these, which makes them an asset to the team. It means that their motivation aligns with the company mission and vision.

About Jaime Jay
Meet Jaime Jay – a man who wears many hats, and wears them all admirably. He’s a master connector, an entrepreneur extraordinaire, and a published author who knows how to get things done.
Before he found his way to the business world, Jaime served his country as a brave paratrooper in the U.S. Army. But that’s just the beginning of his many accomplishments.
He’s the founder of the renowned Bottleneck Distant Assistant Services firm, and his book “Quit Repeating Yourself” has become a must-read for entrepreneurs everywhere.
When he’s not busy building his empire, you can find him on his beloved Harley Davidson, cruising through the countryside and taking in the invigorating effects of Uitwaaien – a Dutch practice that involves facing the wind to boost health and relieve stress. He enjoys spending his free time outside building stuff with his wife, Nikita the dog and their two kittens (for now at least) Tommy and Tater. He is ‘over-the-moon’ happily married to his wonderful wife Sara, his amazing daughter, Jessica, who is serving our country as a United States Army soldier. Jaime and Sara are the proud grand parents of two beautiful little girls.
