The Power of Conversation with Jaime and Sara | Live with Bottleneck: A Week in Review

People often underestimate the advantages of being a good conversationalist. Having the power of conversation on your side can open a lot of doors for you and your business. Though there is a fine line to tread between being persuasive and being manipulative.

In today’s episode of A Week in Review, Jaime and Sara discuss the power of conversation.

The Advantages of a Good Conversation

Being able to communicate properly with your peers, employees, and clients is important in any business. You will find that properly expressing your thoughts and ideas through open communication can open more doors for you than raw numbers and data.

Still, what does it take to have a good conversation?

Jaime and Sara’s Thoughts on the Power of Conversation

Conversations have a lot to do with communication, expectations, relationships, and it can easily spell the difference between manipulation and persuasion.

As per Jaime, for you to be more on the persuasive side rather than manipulative, always try to be yourself when you are conversing with others. Let your true personality come out, rather than just showing the façade you want them to see.

What Happened This Week?

Last Sept. 29th, we celebrated the Quit Repeating Yourself Day. This is to remind business owners and entrepreneurs to declutter and organize their systems and processes. This is so that moving forward, they can focus on more important aspects of their business.

We started Quit Repeating Yourself Day to remind ourselves at least once a year to check and realign ourselves, so we don’t end up repeating the same mistakes or bogging ourselves with mundane things.

Want to learn more on how you can Quit Repeating Yourself? Check out Jaime’s new book at QuitRepeatingYourself.com.

About Jaime Jay

Meet Jaime Jay – a man who wears many hats, and wears them all admirably. He's a master connector, an entrepreneur extraordinaire, and a published author who knows how to get things done.

Before he found his way to the business world, Jaime served his country as a brave paratrooper in the U.S. Army. But that's just the beginning of his many accomplishments.

He's the founder of the renowned Bottleneck Distant Assistant Services firm, and his book "Quit Repeating Yourself" has become a must-read for entrepreneurs everywhere.

When he's not busy building his empire, you can find him on his beloved Harley Davidson, cruising through the countryside and taking in the invigorating effects of Uitwaaien – a Dutch practice that involves facing the wind to boost health and relieve stress.

He enjoys spending his free time outside building stuff with his wife, Nikita the dog and their two kittens (for now at least) Tommy and Tater.

He is ‘over-the-moon’ happily married to his wonderful wife Sara, his amazing daughter, Jessica, who is serving our country as a United States Army soldier. Jaime and Sara are the proud grand parents of two beautiful little girls.
