Time for Reflection with Jaime and Sara | Live with Bottleneck: A Week in Review

Time for Reflection WordPress

On this episode of Live with Bottleneck: A Week in Review, Jaime and Sara talk about taking the time to reflect on yourself, and how you feel about the current “you”.

Join Jaime and Sara live every Friday at 10am CT for this special edition of Live with Bottleneck: A Week In Review, as they talk about the week that passed and the challenges that they’ve faced, as well as implementation of things for the future of the company and for the viewers.

Time for Reflection

Jaime looks back on the meaning of Distant Assistants, and how it came to be what it is today. He further shares that as he was creating this new category along with Christopher Lochhead, he was able to further define his vision for Bottleneck, and bolster the values that he wanted the company to represent.

“I think it’s really important for everybody to go through that exercise. I think that’s why I wanted to talk about taking the time for some reflection and doing something like that: figure out what your “why is, and then realign your vision, mission, and values, and line it around what you’re truly passionate about.” – Jaime Jay

What Happened This Week?

Sara talks about her bookkeeping adventures, and how they’re hoping to migrate everything to the new payment portal, which will make things easier for both the clients and accounting in the long run.

For Jaime, it was more of a time to reflect on what Bottleneck needs today and in the near future, and how to get there through upcoming projects and plans.

Jaime also figures that it might be time to be more proactive rather than reactive in reaching out to people who might need the service. So he needs to figure out an approach for it, and find the right people to execute said approach.

What’s Coming Up?

Jaime and Sara are excited for the playoffs, as both their teams made it this season. Which means more hockey to watch in the next couple of weeks. Meanwhile, construction is still in full swing, and Sara is excited about how the deck will turn out after.

As for Bottleneck-related stuff, Jaime Is busy prepping for a webinar. He’s writing a script for it and how the flow will go for the whole thing. He’s also planning to do a test workshop and see what they can improve on before the actual thing.
