Why Can’t Everyone Be a High Performer? with Deborah Coviello

In today’s Live with Bottleneck, Deborah Coviello tells us why not all people can be high performers in their business.

Deborah Coviello is the author of a new book called The CEO’s Compass: Your guide to get back on track. She has a long career in assisting clients and business owners in identifying, assessing and solving the issues that are preventing their business’ growth.

So if you want to learn how you can become a high performer, stay tuned to this episode.

Who is Deborah Coviello?

Deborah Coviello is the founder of Illumination Partners, LLC and the host of The Drop In CEO podcast. For more than 20 years, she has been transforming businesses from within, elevating the talents of their organizations to new performance levels.

Prior to being the Drop In CEO, Deborah was in the manufacturing and operations, and a biomedical engineer in training. She then moved to quality control, and made sure that they only shipped good product to their customers.

The Drop In CEO

Deborah explains her role as an initiator in the business that may be having issues with rapid growth, scaling up to higher grounds. She does so with her years of experience consulting for business leaders and entrepreneurs in guiding their business to achieve greater heights.

“As the Drop In CEO, we drop into businesses and partner with C-suite business leaders who are going through some kind of rapid transformation. We partner together and solve that business problem using my expertise. I have a database of people I bring in, but ultimately it’s all to elevate the capability of your people.” – Deborah Coviello

According to Deborah, that last part is really important. Because once the Drop In CEO program ends, the people in your company will have to maintain the quality they have achieved. In the end, no matter how good a development program is, it is useless if the people inside do not commit to the improvements that were implemented.

Deborah then talks about her new book, The CEO’s Compass. She shares that while most business owners and entrepreneurs have an objective and goals they aim to achieve, there are situations that suddenly knock us out of course. It is important then that the leader is right and clear in what they are trying to do.

While most business leaders have their “compass” to guide them to the right path, Deborah has 7 guidelines she follows that a combination of which will always point to true north.

Yet while she shares her thoughts regularly on platforms like LinkedIn for her fellow professionals, much remained skeptical. There were some that could not see a clear picture of what Deborah has to say, and there were some who were interested in her methods of achieving such a feat.

So Deborah decided on writing her book, so as to share her thoughts and expertise into one cohesive “compass” that encompasses all her guidelines and expertise on how to take a business to the next level.

Before he found his way to the business world, Jaime served his country as a brave paratrooper in the U.S. Army. But that's just the beginning of his many accomplishments.

He's the founder of the renowned Bottleneck Distant Assistant Services firm, and his book "Quit Repeating Yourself" has become a must-read for entrepreneurs everywhere.

When he's not busy building his empire, you can find him on his beloved Harley Davidson, cruising through the countryside and taking in the invigorating effects of Uitwaaien – a Dutch practice that involves facing the wind to boost health and relieve stress.

He enjoys spending his free time outside building stuff with his wife, Nikita the dog and their two kittens (for now at least) Tommy and Tater.

He is ‘over-the-moon’ happily married to his wonderful wife Sara, his amazing daughter, Jessica, who is serving our country as a United States Army soldier. Jaime and Sara are the proud grand parents of two beautiful little girls.
