Creative Teambuilding Activity, the Amani Way | Amani Roberts 006

I love finding new ways of redefining company culture and The Amani Experience is definitely unique. It provides a teambuilding activity that helps create amazing responses and motivation within staff members. We dive into this today with its Founder, Amani Roberts.

“What we found is that people who have worked together for 10 or 15 years can learn new things about their coworkers through music, sharing, and talking.” – Amani Roberts

DJ AmRo in the House

Creative Teambuilding Activity, the Amani Way | Amani Roberts 006Amani “DJ AmRo” Roberts hails from Washington, DC. His career in hospitality spans over 25 years with managerial, sales, and marketing positions.

His love for innovation and music led him to start The Amani Experience, where he serves as the Chief Musical Curator. They provide music for corporate and social events.

They also create original music for commercials or videos. Amani has produced remixes of well-loved artists including Alessia Cara, Camila Cabello, Major, Kehlani, and Niia. He also hosts his own podcast, interviewing creatives from around the world.

Adding Spice to Teambuildings

The Amani Experience presents a unique teambuilding activity called Wheels of Steel. They bring a whole new level of excitement to offices, breakouts, conventions, and other events through DJ lessons.

“What they’re doing is they are getting over the fear, and that is one thing you want to have in a team. You want them to be fearless.” – Amani Roberts

The activity helps people overcome their inhibitions. It motivates them to become more confident as individual contributors to the team or organization they belong.

One Team through Music

The Amani Experience does the activity for groups of all sizes. They bring the equipment to the venue and walk people through the creative process.

“If you could show vulnerability at a team exercise, people will follow you more and respect you more as we found.” – Amani Roberts

People who fear public speaking also get help. At the end of the teambuilding activity, people are asked to present the music they’ve created. The level of energy in the room is just remarkable.

About Jaime Jay

Meet Jaime Jay – a man who wears many hats, and wears them all admirably. He's a master connector, an entrepreneur extraordinaire, and a published author who knows how to get things done.

Before he found his way to the business world, Jaime served his country as a brave paratrooper in the U.S. Army. But that's just the beginning of his many accomplishments.

He's the founder of the renowned Bottleneck Distant Assistant Services firm, and his book "Quit Repeating Yourself" has become a must-read for entrepreneurs everywhere.

When he's not busy building his empire, you can find him on his beloved Harley Davidson, cruising through the countryside and taking in the invigorating effects of Uitwaaien – a Dutch practice that involves facing the wind to boost health and relieve stress.

He enjoys spending his free time outside building stuff with his wife, Nikita the dog and their two kittens (for now at least) Tommy and Tater.

He is ‘over-the-moon’ happily married to his wonderful wife Sara, his amazing daughter, Jessica, who is serving our country as a United States Army soldier. Jaime and Sara are the proud grand parents of two beautiful little girls.
