86 Paul Maskill – Working On Not In Your Business

Paul Maskill

Jaime Jay welcomes Paul Maskill to the show today. Paul took a kid’s golf and tennis after school and summer business plan. He grew it into 4 franchises and sold it for more than 4 times what he had invested! Paul shares his strategies for growing a successful business that leaves time for you in Paul Maskill – Working On Not In Your Business.

TGA

Paul began TGA in 2011. Teach. Grow. Achieve. The sports of golf and tennis are not as accessible for kids at the entry level. TGA found a way to bring this to the kids without the need for Paul Maskill - Working On Not In Your Businesscourts or courses! The goal of TGA is to ready the kids for a transition to a higher level if that is their desire.  Paul  wants to make lifelong golfers and tennis players out of the kids that enter his program.

Paul sold TGA and was subsequently was hired by the franchise he sold. He now helps prospective franchise owners with business plans and current franchise owners to ensure they are successful.

Corporate Exit

Paul left a corporate finance job in 2011 to begin his dream of owning his own business. He had a plan and stayed on probably 6 months to a year longer than he wanted to so he would be prepared and not in great debt.

Paul took a look around his corporate finance job and realized the guys that had been there 40 years were adding no value. He envisioned himself in 40 years the same way.  Paul was working for stockholders wanting their quarterly reports. It just wasn’t for Paul.

About Jaime Jay

Meet Jaime Jay – a man who wears many hats, and wears them all admirably. He's a master connector, an entrepreneur extraordinaire, and a published author who knows how to get things done.

Before he found his way to the business world, Jaime served his country as a brave paratrooper in the U.S. Army. But that's just the beginning of his many accomplishments.

He's the founder of the renowned Bottleneck Distant Assistant Services firm, and his book "Quit Repeating Yourself" has become a must-read for entrepreneurs everywhere.

When he's not busy building his empire, you can find him on his beloved Harley Davidson, cruising through the countryside and taking in the invigorating effects of Uitwaaien – a Dutch practice that involves facing the wind to boost health and relieve stress.

He enjoys spending his free time outside building stuff with his wife, Nikita the dog and their two kittens (for now at least) Tommy and Tater.

He is ‘over-the-moon’ happily married to his wonderful wife Sara, his amazing daughter, Jessica, who is serving our country as a United States Army soldier. Jaime and Sara are the proud grand parents of two beautiful little girls.
