Rahul and Varun Aggarwal What Design Means to Your Business | Ep. 226

Rahul and Varun Aggarwal

Designhill’s Co-founders Rahul and Varun Aggarwal share their entrepreneurial journey, including how they started one of the world’s leading graphic design platforms.

“Brand identity goes a long way in convincing your customers to pay and to buy your service.” – Rahul Aggarwal, Designhill

Business and Freelance Design

Rahul and Varun Aggarwal What Design Means to Your Business | Ep. 226Rahul started a business right after he graduated. He and Varun came from a family of business owners. He worked for their family business, where design was a big challenge.

“Whether we were creating marketing materials or driving people to a website — everything that had to do with design was a pain point.” – Rahul Aggarwal, Designhill

So, they hired external agencies and in-house designers. Varun, on the other hand, was a creative genius. During his school days, he would participate in design competitions.

Because of his passion, he also decided to become a freelance designer. One thing he realized was the payment and security of his design projects. When he returned from the university, he and Rahul shared the challenges they were facing.

The Launch of the Design Platform

From the eyes of an entrepreneur and of a freelancer, securing quality designs was of primary importance. Rahul and Varun came up with the idea of a platform that can be equally enjoyed by businesses and designers.

“The biggest challenge I had was trying to find clients. And a lot of times, when I did find clients, the security was a big problem.” – Varun Aggarwal, Designhill

International Graphic Design

Rahul and Varun’s experiences led them to start one of the top graphic design platform called Designhill. Today, Designhill has 95% of their customers coming from the United States.

Since 2014, the two brothers have grown the business internationally. They have also learned a lot from their entrepreneurial journey. After many years, they are now enjoying the fruits of their hard work and things are going well for their business.

About Jaime Jay

Meet Jaime Jay – a man who wears many hats, and wears them all admirably. He's a master connector, an entrepreneur extraordinaire, and a published author who knows how to get things done.

Before he found his way to the business world, Jaime served his country as a brave paratrooper in the U.S. Army. But that's just the beginning of his many accomplishments.

He's the founder of the renowned Bottleneck Distant Assistant Services firm, and his book "Quit Repeating Yourself" has become a must-read for entrepreneurs everywhere.

When he's not busy building his empire, you can find him on his beloved Harley Davidson, cruising through the countryside and taking in the invigorating effects of Uitwaaien – a Dutch practice that involves facing the wind to boost health and relieve stress.

He enjoys spending his free time outside building stuff with his wife, Nikita the dog and their two kittens (for now at least) Tommy and Tater.

He is ‘over-the-moon’ happily married to his wonderful wife Sara, his amazing daughter, Jessica, who is serving our country as a United States Army soldier. Jaime and Sara are the proud grand parents of two beautiful little girls.
