171 Tim Sanders Combining Multiple Perspectives to Increase Sales

Tim Sanders

Tim Sanders is a New York Times bestselling author and sought-after keynote speaker. He’s also an expert at increasing sales through combining perspectives of a company’s departments, customers, and competitors.

“The companies that win business today…are faster than their competitors at solving problems.” – Tim Sanders

Start of a Journey

171 Tim Sanders Combining Multiple Perspectives to Increase SalesTim has been a salesperson for most of his career. While in high school, he sold radio spots. He also went into television advertising until eventually, he went to work with Mark Cuban at Broadcast.com.

In 2001, he served as the Chief Solutions Officer of Yahoo. And by 2005, he founded Deeper Media which offers consultation to leading brands.

Of Sales and Marketing

According to Tim, sales typically views marketing as the lead generator. Marketing helps increase the demand and opportunity for the company.

“Right now, the customer is usually 60% done with all of their sales journey before they ever talk to a salesperson for the first time.” – Tim Sanders

It may have been easy to market back then. But, things have changed. There are several decision makers to deal with.

Challenges in the Industry

Tim shares two challenges in today’s system. For one, the customer is already more than halfway done with his sales journey before reaching a salesperson. This is because they do their research.

“Today you don’t pitch and close, you solve problems.” – Tim Sanders

Another challenge is the competition in the market. It is easy to start a business nowadays because of automation. Winning a deal could already be like reaching the top.

About Jaime Jay

Meet Jaime Jay – a man who wears many hats, and wears them all admirably. He's a master connector, an entrepreneur extraordinaire, and a published author who knows how to get things done.

Before he found his way to the business world, Jaime served his country as a brave paratrooper in the U.S. Army. But that's just the beginning of his many accomplishments.

He's the founder of the renowned Bottleneck Distant Assistant Services firm, and his book "Quit Repeating Yourself" has become a must-read for entrepreneurs everywhere.

When he's not busy building his empire, you can find him on his beloved Harley Davidson, cruising through the countryside and taking in the invigorating effects of Uitwaaien – a Dutch practice that involves facing the wind to boost health and relieve stress.

He enjoys spending his free time outside building stuff with his wife, Nikita the dog and their two kittens (for now at least) Tommy and Tater.

He is ‘over-the-moon’ happily married to his wonderful wife Sara, his amazing daughter, Jessica, who is serving our country as a United States Army soldier. Jaime and Sara are the proud grand parents of two beautiful little girls.
